Los Angeles authorities were still looking for suspects Saturday despite arresting two alleged arsonists earlier. Some of the fires set Saturday could be copycats, authorities told the L.A. Times, but more than one arsonist could also be involved.

"We've detained a number of people, but none that we can say are legitimately connected to this investigation at this point,'' LAPD Cmdr. George Villegas said.

Friday's fires were set in Hollywood and West Hollywood. Saturday's fire were spread across a larger area in the eastern San Fernando Valley.

A molotov cocktail-like device is being thrown threw the windows of cars to start the fires, police said.

A $60,000 reward is available for information leading to the culprit. Tips can be called in at (213) 893-9800 or at (800) 633-2836. Police remain interested in a male driving a mid-1990's Lexus ES300 "white over tan in color."

Samuel Arrington was arrested by LAPD early Thursday for allegedly setting a fire in a garbage can outside a 7-Eleven and trying to ignite a fuel tank on a truck, police said. He's also been connected to two separate fires that burned four vehicles and an apartment.

Alejandro Pineda was arrested early Friday, fire officials said. Pineda was booked for arson of property.
