We've all seen celebrities like Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry sport some wacky nail art, but the trend is becoming more and more common as women everywhere are beginning to play around with pattern nail designs.

Blogs such as the Fashionisa Blog have picked up on the booming trend, dedicating blog posts to different facets of 'manicurism.' 

Refinery 29, a popular style blog, did a recap of the best nail designs from New York Fashion Week Spring 2012, instructing viewers on how to mimic the manicures backstage.

An entire online magazine was launched called Nails Magazine, providing everything from nail health to removing polish spill stains to celebrity nail color favorites.

Not to mention, a new nail art twitter was launched providing inspiration and nail ideas to hundreds of followers.
