Occupy LA Marches For Raided Occupy Wall Street
The LAPD briefly went on tactical alert early Tuesday after Occupy Los Angeles protesters staged a march to show support for the Occupy Wall Street protesters who were swept from Zuccotti Park in Lower Manhattan.
There were no reports of arrests, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The Times reports:
"About 100 protesters in Los Angeles marched through downtown shortly after midnight after viewing online video of the New York camp being broken up."
The raid on New York coincides with similar raids in other cities on Occupy movements.
The remarks hint at a coordinated crackdown on the Occupy movement by city officials around the country.
In the past week, crackdowns have also occurred in Oakland and Portland.
