Occupy L.A. Arrests: Alleged Masturbator, Kidnapper And Torcher Charged

Five people believed to be associated with the Occupy L.A. movement were charged with a range of crimes Tuesday, including trying to set a food vendor on fire and masturbating on the steps of City Hall.

The L.A. City Attorney's office announced that Farid Ahntab, 24, allegedly brandished a knife and tried to burn the food vendor. He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest.

Angele Chaidez, 21, was allegedly masturbating on the steps of City Hall last week, leading to a charge of of lewd conduct.

Robert Holland, Jr., 31, was also charged with brandishing a knife and resisting arrest.   

Zachary Isaac, 21, was allegedly punched a woman in the face faces a battery charge.  

Michael Howard Thomson, 51, was charged with two counts of battery after he allegedly tried to grab a 2-year-old from its parent and punched a mediator.

The city attorney's office did not immediately respond to a call for comment.
