Los Angeles Protesters Say "No More Drug War"
Protesters gather in historic Levitt Pavilion in MacArthur Park to rally against the continuing "Drug War" policies instituted by President Nixon in 1971. They represent a growing movement that argues U.S. drug policies lead to mass incarcerations, fail to remedy the drug overdose epidemic, perpetuate violence along the Mexican border, unfairly target certain minorities, and cause more harm than good in the community. Speakers, poets, and performers come together to demand reform and support more effective and more humane policies.
