That was the first thing I said when Stanford lost to Oregon and Boise State inexplicably lost to TCU. The foregone conclusion that Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck was going to be handed the Heisman is, well, gone. I had to seriously reevaluate my list this week.

With that being said, here we go:

1. Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford - Despite Stanford’s national title hopes being dashed by losing to Oregon last night, Luck still has so much hype surrounding him that he's still in first place this week. He still has only seven interceptions on the year, and despite the loss, the Cardinal still have a shot at a BCS game. The gap certainly has closed, but Luck is still in first for me.

2. Brandon Weeden, QB, Oklahoma State - Welcome to the list, Mr. Weeden. Kellen Moore's loss is your gain. I debated keeping Trent Richardson here, but he really hasn’t been that impressive lately. Plus, Weeden's team is undefeated and is on their way to winning the Big 12 and going to the National Title game. Weeden has 31 touchdowns on the year, and is really gaining momentum. Luck now has to look over his shoulder…

3. Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama - Richardson needs another huge game to move past Weeden. That loss to LSU really hurt his chances. However, he still has 18 touchdowns on the ground and is the best back in the country. If he has a huge game against Auburn or another SEC foe, he could vault higher.

4. Case Keenum, QB, Houston - Keenum is having an unreal season. He has 37 touchdowns and only three interceptions; numbers like that just do not happen very often. Oh yeah, and his team is undefeated and could be a BCS buster. If Houston keeps winning, Keenum stays on this list.

5. Montee Ball, RB, Wisconsin - The Badgers are back to their winning ways, and Ball is a big reason. Yes, Russell Wilson was my favorite for a while, but Ball’s 23 touchdowns on the ground cannot be overlooked. He is also averaging 6.7 yards per carry and has 1242 yards (which is more than Richardson has). He is playing great football and getting into the endzone; that's a solid recipe to become a Heisman finalist.
