Lady Gaga Opens Christmas Workshop In Barneys
According to NYDailyNews.com, Lady Gaga’s window holiday display and Santa’s Workshop has opened at Barney’s New York this past week.
Gaga and her fashion director, Nicola Formichetti, collaborated with Barneys’ creative director, Dennis Freedman, to create the new window display for the holiday season.
“Basically, Gaga and Nicola had a dream of making her boudoir, with her in it, and every single thing in the window had to be made out of hair,” Freedman says.
To expand on Gaga’s crazy world, Barneys has given Gaga an entire floor to transform into her own version of Santa’s workshop.
There are eight elaborate shopping stations, including a jewelry shop made of a Lady Gaga-faced spider, a bookstore in the shape of a giant pop-up book, and a boudoir styled like a giant wig. Each room will sell over 170 limited-edition Gaga-themed products.
Goodies include chocolate Christmas ornaments, Gaga-topped snow globes, glittery handmade chocolate skulls, claw-shaped stockings, and a one-of-kind pair of black shoes.
Customers will also be treated to a selection of Lady Gaga’s personal childhood holiday favorites such as Roald Dahl books, candy lipsticks, malted milk balls, and gum balls.
For those who can’t make it Barneys in New York, Gaga’s world is also available online. In honor of this special project, Barneys is donating 25 percent of sales from Gaga’s workshop to the Born This Way Foundation. According to Times, the store hopes to raise over one million dollars. There couldn't be a greater gift for Christmas.
