Celebrity couple Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner’s Saturday night date ended up in a visit to the hospital.

The Canadian singer was outside the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel when she was allegedly attacked by a group of people.

“To clear things up I got attacked by 5 people last night out of nowhere. Not cool. My face is fucked,” Lavigne posted on her Twitter later that night. “As in black eye, bloody nose, hair ripped out, scratches, bruises and cuts. So not ok to be abusive to others. Violence is NEVER the answer.”

Jenner, her boyfriend and stepbrother to the Kardashians, was also injured when he reportedly intervened. The former MTV The Hills star was seen with a gash on his forehead caused by a broken bottle during the scuffle. “Just got out of the hospital with a new scar on my face,” he tweeted. “Charges/chargers!!!”

Hours before, Jenner had posted a picture of him and Lavigne on Twitter, captioned “Having the best night with the love of my life @AvrilLavigne so happy right now!!”

The 28-year-old is no stranger to bar brawls. Back in 2009, he and Joe Francis, creator of Girls Gone Wild, exchanged punches after Francis punched and kicked his then-girlfriend Jayde Nicole.

So far no arrests have been made. It is unclear who the assailants were and why they attacked the couple. However, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman told Reuters they were aware of a “skirmish outside in that area on Sunday morning.”
