The recent federal crackdown on marijuana in California raised the ongoing debate of the legalziing marijuana.

Recently, California Doctors openly supported the legalization.  

As Press Democrat points out, the original point of the medical marijuana law was to help people with serious illnesses such as cancer. Over time businesses has strayed from this primary practice. 

"We have yet to find a single instance in which a marijuana store was able to prove that it was a not-for-profit organization," said Andre Birotte, the U.S. City attorney.
