It's week four in the NHL.  Here's a look at what you missed and what to watch.

-Kings goalie Jonathan Quick, 25, is showing the world how it’s done.  Quick is the first goaltender in the NHL since 2008 to have three consecutive shutouts and the first for any Kings goaltender. His record is 5-0-1 with a .972 save percentage for the season. Saturday's game against the Dallas Stars also marked Quick's 17th career shutout.

-Detroit Red Wings captain Nicklas Lidstrom, 41, hit a milestone on Oct. 22 against the Washington Capitals.  Lidstrom played in his 1,500th game of his career.  The veteran defenseman has played in 20 seasons, after being drafted in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft by the Red Wings, the only team he has ever played for in the NHL.

Save of the Week

Montreal Canadien goalie Carey Price stopped a shot by Pittsburgh Penguin Steve Sullivan on Oct. 20.  See the amazing save for yourself.

Goal of the Week

Martin St. Louis of the Tampa Bay Lightning scored a great goal against goalie Ryan Miller of the Buffalo Sabres on Oct. 22.  Tampa Bay went on to win the game 3-0.

Trades

-The Montreal Canadiens have acquired Petteri Nokelainen and minor leaguer Garrett Stafford from the Phoenix Coyotes.  The Coyotes will have Montreal’s seventh round pick in the 2012 NHL Draft and minor leaguer Brock Trotter.

-Vancouver Canucks traded Mikael Samuelsson and Marco Strum to the Florida Panthers.  The Canucks acquired Steve Reinprecht, David Booth, and a 2013 third round pick.

Injuries

-New Jersey Devils center Jacob Josefson is out with a broken right clavicle after crashing into the boards during the Oct. 21 game against the San Jose Sharks.

-St. Louis Blues announced this week that forward Andy McDonald is out indefinitely after being diagnosed with a concussion.  McDonald was hit first by Dallas Stars defenseman Vernon Fiddler and then accidently hit by teammate David Backes’ stick on the head and chin during the Oct. 13 game.

Fines and Suspensions

-Shea Weber of Nashville Predators was fined $2500 for boarding Vancouver Canuck Jannik Hansen.  The illegal hit took place on Oct. 20 in the third period of the game.

-Pittsburgh Penguin Kris Letang was suspended after boarding Winnipeg Jets forward Alex Burmistrov last week.  Letang forfeited $37,837.84 for the two-game suspension, and returned to the lineup on Oct. 22 against the Devils.

This week’s games to watch will keep you on the edge of your seat so grab a cold beverage and get ready for another week of exciting games.
