Walter Isaacson's new biography on Steve Jobs reveals that the Apple co-founder told Rupert Murdoch that he considered Fox News "an incredibly destructive force in our society," The Wrap reported.

Jobs spoke at News Corp.'s June 2010 annual management retreat, violating a personal rule against such appearances, Isaacson wrote in his book, "Steve Jobs."

According to The Wrap, Jobs told Murdoch he was "blowing it with Fox News."

"The axis today is not liberal and conservative, the axis is conservative-destructive, and you've cast your lot with the destructive people," Jobs reportedly told Murdoch. "Fox has become an incredibly destructive force in our society. You can be better, and this is going to be your legacy if you're not careful."

Isaacson wrote that Jobs said Murdoch was not a builder, rather a "tearer-downer."

Jobs had planned to ask "The Daily Show" to assemble a package of Fox News moments for Murdoch, The Wrap reported.

While Jobs was still alive, Murdoch said he would be happy to see it but he hasn't received it.
