Actor Jonah Hill paid a visit to USC this past Sunday to speak with students following an advance screening of FOX's new animated series "Allen Gregory." The event was hosted by Comedy@SCA and FOX Television, which brought the cast and directors to the students for an engaging Q&A session afterwards.

Jonah Hill, well-known for his roles in films such as "Superbad" and "Moneyball," is the co-creator, executive producer and voice of main character Allen Gregory. Hill watched the full-length pilot for the first time with his fellow cast members and sporadically shouted phrases like "Go Trojans!" from the back of the Norris Cinema Theater.

The crowd roared with approval, and the laughs continued with each punchline that the edgy new comedy delivered. "Allen Gregory" tells the story of a pretentions 7-year-old boy who faces the challenge of transitioning from homeschooling to attending elementary school with children his own age.

Allen Gregory DeLongpre considers himself to be a sophisticated young man who is wise beyond his years. In fact, he claims to have written novels and dated Chloe Sevigny on-and-off for the majority of his thus-short life.

Although he may be too proud to admit it, all he really wants is to be accepted by his fellow classmates deep down. His adult ways complicate his mission of gaining acceptance when he brings sushi and Pinot Grigio for lunch and thus gets in trouble for drinking alcohol.

He gets sent to the principal's office, where he develops fantasies of having a romantic rendezvous with the veiny woman whom he estimates is "comfortably in her late 60's." Other characters, such as Allen Gregory's father and his father's life partner, as well as his adopted sister, all have quirky personalities that create a dynamic that is sure to elicit laughs.

The series premiere will air next Sunday, October 30th at 8:30pm ET/PT, right after "The Simpsons," as the newest addition to the Animation Domination collection of comedy shows. With a cast including seasoned pros such as Hill, Leslie Mann, and Cristina Pucelli, the lines are delivered with a snappy yet subtle type of humor in addition to the in-your-face suggestive humor built into the script.

In true animation domination fashion, "Allen Gregory" pushes the envelope by pushing different groups' buttons, and has controversial humor along the lines of "Family Guy." However, as Jonah Hill put it in the Q&A session after the event, "That's also what makes it so appealing."

"Allen Gregory" is produced by Chernin Entertainment in association with 20th Century Fox Television. The series creators are Jonah Hill, Andrew Mogel ("Yes Man") and Jarrad Paul ("Yes Man"). David A. Goodman ("Family Guy") serves as showrunner. The executive producers for the series are Hill, Mogel, Paul, Goodman, Peter Chernin ("Terra Nova") and Katherine Pope ("Terra Nova").

In addition to starring in Judd Apatow’s “Superbad,” Jonah Hill has brought his comedic talents to many more films including “The 40 Year Old Virgin,” “Get Him to the Greek,” “Funny People” and “Forgetting Sarah Marshall.”
