Memphis, Tenn. causing his plane to make an emergency landing.

There have been reports from both TMZ and the Hollywood Reporter stating that Rick Ross was unconscious upon landing and that EMT’s had to administer CPR in order to resuscitate the artist.

Ross was traveling to Memphis in order to open up a new Wingstop restaurant and to perform at “Memphis Madness”, University of Memphis’s event to kick off their basketball team’s first official practice.

The rapper made a statement earlier this week about opening up a Wingstop in Memphis, saying that, "It's time for us to make it happen in Memphis . . . With Wingstop, we are bringing in the food I like and adding jobs to the community. It's a double win." Hopefully, after this recent health encounter, Ross will consider adding some healthy options to his menu so that he can continue producing great music for the world.

His friend, Wale, who is also a part of Ross’ Maybach Music Group posted this tweet on Twitter today:

"I just talked to Ross...he's 100 pct ok...@tmz #dontpanic #dontpanic #mmg !!!!"

Dj Sam Sneaker also tweeted, "I'm wit @rickyrozy now he good..."

The biggest indicator that Ross is doing okay would be the fact that he, himself tweeted in reply  to Hip Hop journalist Elliot Wilson telling him that he is, in fact doing well.

Ross just released two singles last week produced by Just-Blaze titled, "I Love My B*****s" and "You The Boss" featuring Nicki Minaj. His new full length album titled, "God Forgives, I Don't," is said to be released December 13, 2011.

[UPDATE: TMZ reported that Ross suffered a second seizure on his way to Memphis. His plane made an emergency landing in Birmingham and he is currently in the hospital.]
