As the Republican Presidential race heats up, President Obama’s supporters are working hard to find donors and raise money for his upcoming re-election campaign.

According to a new list released by the Obama campaign, between April and September of this year, at least $55.5 million has been collected between 352 bundlers.

The campaign insists the donations come from a wide base of small-dollar donors and a small base of big-dollar bundlers.

The list of Obama’s big supporters includes well-known names such as “Vogue” editor Anna Wintour, Miramax head Harvey Weinstein and DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg.

Bundling is a relatively new term to describe fundraising and has become essential in election campaigns. George W. Bush mastered the practice according to the Huffington Post in his 2000 presidential campaign.

In his first Presidential campaign, Obama was successful in raising money because many average Americans made small donations that, put together, helped Obama rely less on big donors.
