Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell get married (creative commons)

The British pop star's 45 minute ceremony was held in the Old Marylebone Town Hall, where he also married his first wife Linda Eastman in 1969.  The ceremony was small, attended only by close family and friends.

After blowing kisses to the hundreds of fans and paparazzi waiting on the steps outside, the couple drove off in a Lexus for a gala reception at their house in the St. John's Wood neighborhood.  

Shevell, 51, wore an ivory above-the-knee gown designed by McCartney's daughter, Stella. McCartney, former Beatles heartthrob, was clad in a blue suit and pale blue tie.  

McCartney and Shevell met in the Hamptons in 2008, soon after McCartney's highly publicized and ugly divorce with Heather Mills. On Sunday, McCartney looked happy once again, having put his dark past with Mills behind him.  

"I feel absolutely wonderful," a beaming McCartney told fans after the ceremony.
