Friday’s scheduled cleanup of Zuccotti Park, where Occupy Wall Street protesters have camped out for weeks, has been postponed. Protesters feared the cleanup would lead to eviction from the private park and began doing their own cleanup on Thursday.

A group of protesters marched to the New York Stock Exchange in the morning carrying brooms and vowing to cleanup Wall Street.  Clashes reportedly broke out between the protesters and police when some protesters allegedly threw bottles at police officers.  At least 14 people were arrested at that demonstration and one person was injured according to reports.

“Occupy” protesters in Denver were not as lucky.  Police moved in to the park across from the state Capitol early Friday morning.  Two dozen people were arrested.  Officials had given the protesters an 11 p.m. Thursday night deadline to clear the park.

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper said the protesters could continue to assemble in Veteran’s Park between the hours of 5 a.m. and 11 p.m. but they could not camp in the park overnight.

“We've never let the homeless camp in parks; we don't see how we can let other groups camp in parks,” Hickenlooper said.

The Occupy Denver protesters vowed to continue from a different location.
