Occupy Wall Street Heads On A "Billionaires Tour"
Included in their "Billionaires Tour" are the homes of News Corp. CEO Rupbert Murdoch, industrial giant David Koch, JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, hedge fund titan John Paulson and Howard Milstein.
Protesters do not have a permit for the march, but do not plan to obstruct traffic, according to a spokesman for the groups.
According to a Facebook events page regarding the march, more than 300 people said they would attend as of early Tuesday.
Also on Tuesday morning, more than 100 Occupy Boston protesters were arrested.
Occupy Boston released a statement:
“Today’s reprehensible attack by the Boston Police Department represents a sad and disturbing shift away from dialogue and towards violent repression."
However, Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino defended the arrests, according to the Boston Globe.
“I understand they have freedom of speech and freedom of expression, but we have a city to manage,” he said in a telephone interview to the Boston Globe. “I’m open to suggestions, but civil disobedience will not be tolerated.”
