The NBA regular season won't start until at least December.

NBA Commissionner David Stern announced late Friday that the latest round of talks with the players association had broken down, forcing him to cancel games through the end of the November.

Stern and Billy Hunter said Thursday night that a deal was in no sight. Now, no new discussions are scheduled.

Stern said the possibility of a full 82-game season has now disappeared.
