Lindsay is not the only one in the family who’s having trouble with the law. The Wall Street Journal reports that Lindsay Lohan’s father Michael Lohan is in police custody in Tampa once again, only hours after being released for domestic violence charges. 

Lohan’s on-and-off girlfriend Kate Major, who was involved in the previous charges, called the police claiming that Lohan harassed her over the phone after being released from jail. According to the police report, Major, a tabloid reporter for Star magazine, said that Lohan called her sounding “very drunk.” When police arrived at her condo they were listening to Lohan’s messages on Major’s answering machine when Lohan called again. Major put him on speaker and after hearing Lohan say things like “where you moving to, I didn’t threaten you” the police went to the inn where Lohan was staying to arrest him for violating orders that he stay away from Major. 

The police report says that in an attempt to flee, Lohan “apparently leaped up from his balcony and grabbed a hold of the roof. He then must have scurried across the roof of (about 30 feet) until he thought he was hanging over top of the next balcony.” Lohan missed the balcony and fell on wooden chairs. Authorities say that after a short chase on foot, Lohan was arrested and sent to Hillsborough County Jail, but then sent to the hospital for a potentially broken foot. He will return to jail after he is cleared by doctors. 

Upon his arrest, Lohan claimed that Major set him up and was the one who called him. He said, “She needs help, she calls me, and I’m a sucker so I call her back. I’m an idiot.” He said that Major is just using the charges to make money.

According to the police report, Major’s phone number was not listed in Lohan’s phone under recent calls. 

Lohan has a history of arrests for harassment allegations from ex-girlfriends. This is the third incident that has involved Major. The first was in 2010 in Long Island and were dropped by Major. The second was a misdemeanor domestic violence charge against Lohan in July which was dismissed after Major failed to show up in court.

Lohan met Major while she was dating his friend Jon Gosselin of the TLC show “Jon and Kate Plus Eight.”
