Matt Damon To Make Directorial Debut
Krasinski developed the idea with author Dave Eggers ("A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius"), and pitched it to Damon. The movie is being picked up by Warner Bros, and will be produced by Krasinski’s Sunday Night Productions, Damon, and Chris Moore.
The film is rumored to be similar in theme to "Erin Brockovich" (2000), a legal drama starring Julia Roberts. Damon will play a salesman who travels to a small town and has a life-changing experience.
This will be a busy time for both Damon and Krasinski. Earlier this year, Damon was eyeing a directing gig in Matthew Aldrich’s"Father Daughter Time: A Tale of Robbery and Eskimo Kisses," a dark yet humorous tale of a man who goes on a three-state crime spree with his daughter. Additionally, Damon will not only also star in Steven Soderbergh’s "Liberace" but is slated to be in several other projects during the next two years. Krasinski has just wrapped up production on "The Muppets" and "Big Miracle." He is also starring in the indie drama "Nobody Walks."
