Either Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann misspoke or she really does not know that Libya is in Africa. Bachmann, who was criticizing President Obama's foreign policy during Tuesday night's CNN debate, had this to say about Obama's recent announcement that he would send 100 U.S. troops to Uganda: "Now with the president, he put us in Libya. He is now putting us in Africa. We already were stretched too thin, and he put our special operations forces in Africa."

Libya, of course, is in Africa.

Watch:

This is hardly Bachmann's first gaffe however. For example, earlier this year, the Minnesota Congresswoman mistook Concord, New Hampshire as the place where the Revolutionary War started. It actually began in Concord, Massachusetts. Politico noted at the time that it marked "the third time in recent months that the potential GOP presidential hopeful has committed a puzzling gaffe about history and current affairs.
