The funeral for Apple founder and CEO, Steve Jobs, will be held on Friday according to the Wall Street Journal.

The Journal's source said the funeral will be a small, private gathering at an unknown location out of respect for the family's privacy.

Lt. Sandra Brown, a spokeswoman for the Palo Alto Police Department, also said to FoxNews.com that she believed the service would be held outside of Palo Alto.

Apple said there are no public services planned, but people have been leaving tokens of remembrance to pay tribute to Jobs at the Apple retail stores.
