Alex Zelenty, a sophomore majoring in film and television production, has begun a solitary vigil at Tommy Trojan in support of the “Occupy Wall Street” movement occurring across the nation.

When asked if he was attempting to encourage others to join him in his protest, he responded, “I’m not telling people to come here, but if people, any friends or anyone decides that they think that it’s right then anyone’s welcome.”

As of Monday evening, he planned on staying through the night and hoped to spend as much time there between classes and workload as he could manage.

The city of Los Angeles stretches from the coast of Venice beach, east to Boyle Heights, down South to Palos Verdes and up north to the San Fernando Valley. These city sectors make up a few of the 15 different districts of the Los Angeles City Council.
