John Edwards will face a federal judge Wednesday in hopes of dismissing campaign-finance charges against him. Last moth Edward’s lawyers argued in five motions that the case was brought up by a partisan Republican prosecutor to take him down, according to The Daily Beast.
In response, prosecutors filed motions to back their charges.

Edwards is charged with using $1 million from campaign funds to cover up an affair with Rielle Hunter. He is also charged with falsifying reports to cover up the payments, reports ABC. Edwards pled not guilty.
