More trouble for the film production of popular zombie novel World War Z: a Hungarian SWAT team confiscated 85 weapons from the movie’s set on the grounds that they were improperly acquired. Brad Pitt’s production company, Plan B Entertainment, is behind the film, which is due in theaters December 2012. (US Weekly)

R&B and/or hip-hop’s new savior child’s due date has been revealed: Beyonce announced in an interview that her and Jay-Z’s baby is due next February. (People)

Actress Elizabeth Banks may have a big film production on her docket (the Hunger Games trilogy), but she and husband Max Handelman have sold a comedy TV project to Fox. The show, named “Dave’s Dead,” is quoted as being “Shaun of the Dead meets My Name Is Earl.” (The Hollywood Reporter)

Mitch Winehouse, father of the late singer Amy, is writing a tribute to his daughter’s memory. The book will be available next year, with all proceeds going to the Amy Winehouse Foundation. (Vulture)

Another day, another sequel: this time, it’s the 1999 film The Best Man, directed by Malcolm D. Lee and starring Taye Diggs and Nia Long. The entire original cast is expected to reprise, which to be fair is unusual these days. (Deadline)
