As “Occupy Wall Street” enters its third week of protests, wealthy celebrities are hopping on the bandwagon.  Joining the throngs of unhappy citizens by making their sentiments heard are Michael Moore, Sarah Sarandon, Mark Ruffalo, Roseanne Barr, Yoko Ono, Alec Baldwin, Lupe Fiasco, Immortal Technique, and Russell Simmons.

These wealthy stars are challenging the image of the typical “common American” occupying the streets of New York at this time.  Their dissidence exhibits just how unpopular corporate traders and politicians have become, even among those with high income and little to no personal bearing to the situation.

Actor Mark Ruffalo was present at the demonstration over the weekend.  He also utilized Twitter to gain momentum for the cause, tweeting, “The corporate world with record profits could stand to be reigned in a little bit.  After all we did bail their asses out.”

Actress and comedian Roseanne Barr gave a speech to We Are Change in Liberty Plaza, detailing her vision for a new capitalist system, one that doesn’t “pass out its wealth to a handful of white guys and call that free trade.”  She also took the opportunity to announce her run in the upcoming presidential election.

Those at the protest Monday evening may have witnessed Michael Moore prodding the crowds on and riling them up.  “I am so impressed by what I’m seeing here.  You have done something very important and very historic…I want to see a perp walk!  I want to see the people responsible for destroying the lives of millions of people in handcuffs, and put away,” Moore said.
