A day after being exonerated by an Italian appeals court for the murder of her 21-year-old British roommate, American Amanda Knox returned home to Seattle.

"I'm really overwhelmed right now," Knox said according The Daily Beast. "I was looking down from the airplane, and it seemed like everything wasn’t real. What’s important for me to say is thank you to everyone who has believed in me, defended me, and supported my family."

Her British Airways flight landed at about 5 p.m. PDT. A media circus greeted her arrival at the airport.
