In an interview with BBC Radio 1 DJ Giles Peterson, Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke confirmed rumors of a 2012 tour.
Along with completing an album for his side project Atoms for Peace, Yorke stated that his priority is to “stay focused on getting it together to go out on tour with Radiohead next year.”
Radiohead, which will play two nights at the Roseland Ballroom in New York next week, plan to showcase their eighth studio album, The King of Limbs, on the upcoming tour.
Rolling Stone magazine gave The King of Limbs four of five stars when it dropped last February, calling the eight-track, 37-minute album the band’s “funkiest record, and one of their most elusive.”
Though the band surprised fans by performing a set at the Glastonbury Music Festival this summer, they have not officially toured together in nearly two years.
