He's fought in zero-gravity in "Inception" and set stuff on fire in "Hesher." Now Joseph Gordon-Levitt is going to race against the clock in the action film "Premium Rush," due out in January.

In the film, Gordon-Levitt plays a bike courier that gets a job to send a mysterious envelope across Manhattan, but things get ugly when a dirty cop, played by Michael Shannon, attempts to hunt him down and get the envelope back.

The film is directed by David Koepp, who was the writer for "Indiana Jones" and the "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." The first trailer for the film has just been released and can be viewed below.

If the trailer is any indication, then it looks like a lot of car-bike collisions in this film, thus fulfilling the fantasy of every road rage addict.  The roads are for cars, you treehuggers!
