Want to see the most memorable, stand out models from previous cycles come back? Well this season does it for you. Since they are now familiar faces, for these models it’s all about standing out- and these girls sure know how to. Pulling multiple girls from previous ANTM cycles, dubbed the fan favorites, Tyra mixes up the usual competition of ANTM and, with all of these already experienced girls, the stakes of the game are way tougher. As Isis puts it, “These girls are hot.”

Just like a blast from the past, each model embodies their own unique persona for the first photo shoot, which highlights the defining characteristic each girl is known for. From the diva Camille to the sassy Bianca, there is sure to be plenty of drama to look forward to in this new cycle. Of all shows, ANTM reigns as one of the most dramatic, with girls crying when they get their hair cut and abrasive attitudes not meshing well with all the girls living under one roof.

The game starts right away as their photo shoot takes place in their very own backyard at the models’ house in Los Angeles. Knowing it may be a little hard for us to remember all the girls from previous seasons, the models pose as their extreme personas which are as follows:

Bianca- “loud and sassy”

Allison- “quirky doll”

Bre- “ghetto fabulous”

Dominique- “masculine/feminine”

Camille- “diva”

Kayla- “proud lesbian”

Brittany- “party girl”

Laura- “country cutie”

Alexandria- “tough California girl”

Isis- “confidence”

Sheena- “harlem but not hoochie”

Angelea- “girl from the hood”

Lisa- “wild child”

Shannon- “angelic”

Although there was a live judging, straying a little from the main panel judging we all know and love, having Nicki Minaj as a guest judge added enough flare to make up for it with her scrupulous critiquing of the pictures. Not only was it up to the judges to decide who they think has the most potential based on their pictures and, of course, fierceness, but also the live crowd at the judging at the Nokia Plaza at LA Live played a crucial part in determining who got to stay and who had to go.

While some girls, like Allison and Isis, were greeted by plenty of fans as they walked out, the welcoming for others, particularly Alexandria, fell short. In elimination, the bottom 2 consisted of Alexandria and Brittany. Although some fans said they love to hate Alexandria, Brittany ended up being sent home for her inability to leave a lasting impression on the fans at the live show, with very few even remembering her.

Overall, this first episode builds anticipation for this new season of model All-Stars. With girls from previous seasons as well as exciting new guest judges that embody the best of pop culture today, this mixture of old and new serves up the perfect dose of excitement for a show that has been running for as long as ANTM.

Not only does the prize include the usual contract with Cover Girl cosmetics but also a spread in Italian "Vogue," a cover as well as a spread in "Vogue", a special blog on Italian Vogue’s website, a guest correspondent position on Extra and an campaign ad for Express. So, faced with the obviously splendid array of shining prizes as well as tough competition from already experienced models, who’s going to end up on top?
