Sprint: We Are Prepared To Carry The iPhone

Sprint is among four other providers rumored to sell the iPhone 5, including AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless.
Without confirming or denying the rumors, Sprint's Chief Financial Officer, Joe Euteneuer discussed Wednesday at the annual investors conference the possibility of carrying the iPhone and the workings of an unlimited data plan.
From CNET News:
"Offering unlimited data is about 'managing the network properly,'" Euteneuer said. "If we got to a point where we thought that keeping an unlimited plan wasn't going to create the profitable marketplace that we wanted, then we would have to look for change."
Sprint has already proven itself a worthy competitor with popular smartphones like the HTC Evo 3D. But with the iPhone, Sprint may spring ahead of its competitors.
From Fierce Wireless:
"If you could level that playing field [by making the iPhone available to Sprint customers], it just creates a whole other dynamic for this company on a going forward basis irrespective of maybe a short term margin pain you might have to suffer as a result of something like this," he said.
Apple has not announced an official release date, but the iPhone is expected to be out in October.
