Gwyneth Paltrow presented the award for Best Comedy to "Modern Family." The show took a whopping five awards throughout the evening, including best supporting actor and actress, best comedy writing and best comedy directing. "Modern Family" beat out "30 Rock," "Parks and Recreation," "Glee," "The Big Bang Theory," and "The Office" for the Emmy.

"Modern Family" won the award for every category in which they were nominated. Jane Lynch called the show "The 'Modern Family' Awards."

In post show interviews, Ty Burrell said, " we are just trying to enjoy the moment...and we know that this doesn't last forever...we're just trying to have a lot of fun."

The series also won the award last year, making it their second consecutive win for best comedy.
