Michael Jackson’s children saw the body of their lifeless father as a nervous and sweating Dr. Conrad Murray, who is charged with involuntary manslaughter of the pop star, attempted to resuscitate him, Jackson’s head of security testified Wednesday.

"Dr. Murray asked the question, 'Does anyone know CPR?'" said Jackson’s former head of security, Faheem Muhammad, who saw the body and said that Jackson appeared to be dead.

It’s unclear from Muhammad’s testimony whether Murray, a cardiologist, needed help in administering CPR.

Jackson’s daughter, Paris, aged 11 at the time, and son, Prince, then 12, were outside the room, according to Muhammad’s testimony.

"Paris was on the ground, balled-up, crying," recalled Muhammad. "Prince was just standing there. He just had a real shocked, slowly-crying type of look on his face."

Prosecutors say Murray was negligent and ultimately caused Jackson’s death, administering an anesthetic, propofol, and other sedatives.

Murray has admitted to giving Jackson propofol, the substance that was determined to be the cause of death. Defense attorneys argue Jackson used more propofol on his own and overdosed on the substance.

Murray, 58, can face up to four years in prison if convicted of involuntary manslaughter. The trial began Tuesday and is expected to last five weeks.
