Former Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Manny Ramirez was arrested Monday night after a domestic disturbance in his Florida home, according to TMZ and FOX Sports.

TMZ reports that Ramirez was escorted from his Weston, Florida home around 7 p.m. EDT. Witnesses told the website that Manny and his wife Juliana had an altercation. Manny was taken into police custody and Juliana left the house shortly thereafter.

Ramirez, 39, played for the Dodgers from 2008 to 2010. He retired from baseball last April after five games with the Tampa Bay Rays. His retirement followed a report that he tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs. The Dominican Republic native would have faced a 100-game suspension from MLB, since it represented his second drug suspension.

Manny has three sons, including one from a previous marriage. Manny and Juliana have been married since 2001. TMZ has also posted a mug shot of Ramirez on its site.
