Lea Michele in Marchesa

Red seems to be the hot color for the 2011 Emmys. Stars boasted the sizzling color on the red carpet in various styles: tight fitting fishtail gowns with sweat heart necklines and open backs were the most popular. 

"Glee superstar" Lea Michele, 25, showed up in a Marchesa gown with puffed sleeves and a gorgeous open back. She completed the look with Manolo Blahnik shoes and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. 

Nina Dobrev, 22, from "Vampire Diaries" stepped out in a beautiful strapless Donna Karan gown. She finished off her look with Brian Atwood shoes, Neil Lane jewelry and a Judith Leiber clutch. 

Sofia Vergara, Angela Kinsey, Kerry Washington and Adrianne Palicki were also all ladies in red, and complemented their looks with red lipstick.
