Animation, off the cuff comedies, and reality shows are Fox’s specialty. With hits such as “American Idol,” “Glee,” “Hell’s Kitchen,” “So you Think you can Dance,” and “Family Guy,” Fox lined up new shows that will cause the audience to laugh, or cringe in confusion. Never afraid to push the envelope, Fox’s new crop of shows cover every genre.

"Allen Gregory "

"Allen Gregory" is the animated serious about a 7-year-old genius who finally gets to be amongst his peers by going to elementary school. Co-Creator and Co-Writer Jonah Hill (“Superbad” and “Get Him to the Greek”) is also the voice of the lead character. The show will showcase a child prodigy’s struggle in relating to his peers and his teachers. Will Forte (“Saturday Night Live”) will voice the school’s superintendent. Considering Fox’s history of successful adult cartoons, this has a good shot of enticing audiences to stay tuned in.

SERIES PREMIERE SUN 8:30/7:30 OCT 30

"I Hate My Teenage Daughter"

Being a single parent is hard work; it’s even harder when your daughter is a bratty teenager. That is the basic premise of this comedy about two best friends both raising spoiled teenage girls. The mother Annie (Jamie Pressly, “My Name is Earl”) was raised in a strict household, so she gives her daughter Sophie (played by Kristi Lauren, “You”) as much freedom as she wants. Annie’s best friend, Nikki (Katie Finneran “Wonderfalls”) was a loner in high school and will give her daughter, Mackenzie (Ashia Dee, “Dead Gorgeous") anything she asks for. Cat fights, awkward family moments, and lots of hugs will permeate this series, and there is a good chance the mothers may hate their daughters but hopefully viewers will love the show.

SERIES PREMIERE WED 9:30/8:30c NOV 30

"New Girl"

"New Girl" stars indie darling Zooey Deschanel (“Almost Famous” and “(500) Days of Summer”) and is already generating buzz on social media. Zooey plays a girl going through a tough breakup, and ends up living with three guys. They form a bond and the guys help her through her dating dilemmas.

SERIES PREMIERE TUE 9/8c SEPT 20

"Terra Nova"

The year is 2149, and the conditions on earth are immensely overcrowded with resources dwindling. In a last-ditch effort to save the planet, the future, and humanity, a family journeys back to prehistoric times to correct the problems of the past and potentially save civilization. Starring Stephen Lang, (“Avatar”) Landon Liborion, (“Degrassi: The Next Generation”), and Allison Miller (“17 Again”) the show will captivate viewers who like to watch a saga unfold. Produced by Stephen Spielberg, this series is one viewers are already excited about

So excited in fact, some need an online countdown

SERIES PREMIERE: MON 8/7c SEPT 26

"X Factor"

Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul will be judges to many hopeful singers who perform for them. There are elimination rounds, and at the end one person will win a recording contract. This sounds like a familiar premise. Like “American Idol,” it is a singing competition. The difference is Pepsi instead of Coke sponsors it. Well it’s a bit more than that. “X-Factor” is an international sensation in other countries. Unlike “American Idol,” when the contestants first audition, it's in front of an audience and the judges. The prize is a 5 million dollar recording contract with Syco/Sony Records. Other judges include Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls, and music executive L.A. Reid. Time will tell if people prefer this to “American Idol” or if they can tell the difference.

SERIES PREMIERE: WED 8/7C SEPT 21
