Derek Lam Presents 2012 Spring Collection
Derek Lam presented his ultra-feminine, California inspired Spring 2012 collection earlier today at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
The collection included a mixture of glam, casual, feminine and edgy with a medley of leather pencil skirts, bright neon colors, trench coats and 70s inspired bold prints.
The knits, sheer blouses, oversized pieces and belted looks also had a "That 70s Show" vibe.
"Still on my mind from Derek Lam this morning - oversized black sequin dress with the lowest square neck," tweeted fashionblogger Rumi Neely of Fashion Toast.
A striking pink trench coat stole the show. Lam took an everyday, clean silhouette and made it ultra girly- a transformation Lam has been known for implementing.
The models also demonstrated the clean and crisp California vibe, wearing a minimum load of make-up and sleek, classic pony tails.
