Last spring, millions of viewers across the country were left hanging.  Their favorite TV shows came to an end, and they were hungering for more. What would happen to their favorite couple? Is that character really pregnant?

Not to worry! The CW Fall season is back, bringing along new, addictive shows to keep us guessing and glued to the screen.  Here’s the new show line-up:

“The Ringer”

The CW season kicks off with Sarah Michelle Gellar’s highly anticipated return to television in “The Ringer.” Airing Tuesday, September 13, at 9/8c the show is about six-months-sober Bridget, who is trying to turn her life around. Of course, that doesn’t work out when she becomes the sole witness to a professional hit job. Believing she has no choice but to flee, she flies to New York to see her well-to-do twin sister, Siobhan.

Siobhan disappears, and Bridget makes the rash decision to assume her identity. But, when you haven’t seen your sister in six years, you don’t know what you’re getting yourself into. She delves into Siobhan’s world only to find out that nothing is as it seems. She isn’t the only one with secrets, and now she has to balance both her chaotic identities, while trying to stay alive…

The show is produced by the same minds that gave us “CSI: NY” and “Ugly Betty.” If you love suspense and mistaken identity, or if you simply feel nostalgic about the “Buffy” days (which I am totally guilty of), this one’s for you.

“The Secret Circle”

Based on a series penned by the author of “The Vampire Diaries,” “The Secret Circle” is the CW’s newest show about the supernatural. Starring “Life Unexpected’s” Britt Roberston, the show is about Cassie, a normal teenager who moves to Washington following the death of her mother. Everything is going smoothly until her new friends drop a bomb on her—they are all descendants of powerful witches, and she is too. Naturally, she doesn’t believe them until she finds out on her own that everything they said true, and that her own mother practiced the craft.

What she and her friends don’t know is that evil looms over the horizon, and that much more sinister powers are at play. What’s worse, it may be their parents who are masterminding it. Maybe Cassie’s mother’s death wasn’t an accident, after all…

"The Secret Circle" shares the same producers as “Dawson’s Creek,” “Gossip Girl,” and “90210.” One part “The Craft” and one part “Vampire Diaries,” this series is sure to please those interested in the mystical and paranormal. The show premieres Thursday, September 15, at 9/8c.

“Hart of Dixie”

Rachel Bilson is back! This time, she’s a doctor with her whole life figured out. Graduating at the top of her class in med school, Zoe Hart knows that what she wants most: to be a cardio-thoracic surgeon, like her father. Things end up falling apart, and she decides to take up an offer to practice medicine in Alabama. A New York girl, Dr. Hart doesn’t exactly fit in when she gets to Bluebell.  Most of the people aren’t so nice, and to make things worse, the other doctor in town isn’t too pleased about sharing his patient load.

Hart of Dixie” has vibe that I would describe as a hybrid of “Everwood” (how’s that for a throwback?) and “Sweet Home Alabama.” Zoe is a brilliant doctor practicing in a small town, and though she may hate it at first, I get the feeling that she’s going to end up liking Bluebell a lot more than expected.

This series is recommended for viewers who enjoy shows like “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Gilmore Girls”—Zoe Hart is a fast talker (think Lorelai Gilmore and Meredith Grey combined). “Hart of Dixie” airs Monday, September 26 at 9/8c, and is produced by the folks behind “The OC” and “Chuck.”

Note: If nighttime soaps aren’t your thing, the CW is also premiering a new reality show, “H8R,” which throws celebrities in with the people who hate them, in an effort to win their affection. The show airs Wednesday, September 14, at 8/7c.
