NBC's hit reality television show, The Biggest Loser, premiered Tuesday night, to test the endurance and commitment the contestants have to completely transform their lives. This seasons focus of Battle of the Ages contends to be nothing less than entertaining. With the departure of trainer Jillian Michaels, two new trainers, Anna Kournikova and Dolvett Quince, will grapple the task of leading these contestants to success. "Biggest Loser" veteran Bob Harper is back in action for another season.

15 contestants were dropped off in the middle of Desert Valley to compete in their first heart-pounding workout. Host Alison Sweeney arrived in a Humvee and the trainers in Marine helicopters to elevate the contestants spirits and set precedent for the rest of the season. Sweeney immediately split the members into three different teams, all based upon age.

In the first challenge, contestants had to run one mile in order to choose which trainer was going to be their's for the season. As the young team started out at a rapid pace, the middle age group started to gain on them and were able to complete the challenge first. The older team was having trouble creating momentum and were reigned into the finish line by all of the contestants. The Black Team, 39-47 year olds is going to be lead by "Biggest Loser" veteran Bob Harper. Dolvett Quince, will lead the Red Team, 24-27 years olds. told that if they are able to complete the 26 mile marathon at the end of the season they will automatically receive a spot in the final challenge.

After the challenge warm-up it was time to hit the "Biggest Loser" gym stocked with treadmills, weights, and anything needed to turn big into biggest loser. "Control how your breathing, and you'll control how you exercise," Dolvett Quince echoed as a mantra to his team. The trainers put all of the contestants through their first grueling nonstop workout. Atone, the ex-NFL player, on the Black team, broke down completely ashamed and embarrassed at where his weight has taken him. As Bob does best, he was able to inspire hope and confidence in enabling him to fight on.

Last chance workout never failed to be filled with ounces of sweat, tears, and loud groans. Yet, the team members seem consistently determined to make progress.

With the new trainers, the first weigh in proved what they are capable of.  They began to weigh in the oldest from the youngest. This roller-coaster event between excitement and disappointment proved that no matter how hard a member works out the scale never lies. The Blue Team had a total percentage of 3.58% of the teams body fat. Bob was able to push Antone into loosing 32 lbs in the first weigh in and carry the team with 6.82% lost of body fat. And the Red Team was able to save itself with 4.31% and 89 lbs lost during the first week.

The Blue Team, with the lowest body percentage, had to deliberate who they were going to eliminate. As each member unveiled their votes it came down to a tie between Bonnie and Debbie. Mike's deciding vote caused Debbie to be sent home. Yet, after her elimination she continued to take her useful information home and loose over 35 lbs more.

Battle of the Ages will be a thrilling season that will surely test the contestants will power and ability to fight to making a lifestyle change. The seasons preview will test not only the physical but mental capacity of each contestant. Make sure to tune in every Tuesday at 8pm on NBC.
