The end is near for a trial that has lasted over 30 days and left jury members completely secluded from the outside world.
The trial has quickly become a summer obsession for Americans. CNN’s Headline News has dedicated every weekday entirely to the Casey Anthony Trial and their ratings have drastically increased. They are expected to have live coverage throughout the weekend, including the closing arguments, and have even listed a countdown clock for how long until closing arguments begin.
The case has brought plenty of shock and awe according to legal analysts. The state of Florida believes Casey Anthony murdered her own two-year-old daughter, Caylee, using chloroform. They portrayed Casey as a mom who wanted to party instead of parent. Casey didn’t report her daughter missing for thirty-one days and surveillance videos at various establishments in Florida show her partying, shopping, and even getting a tattoo days after her child’s disappearance. Once Caylee’s body was discovered, just a few miles from the Anthony home, authorities discovered duct tape on the body which was the same tape found at the house.
On the other hand, the defense shocked trial watchers in opening statements claiming the death of Caylee was an accident. Instead of being murdered, Caylee accidently drowned in the family swimming pool. Grandfather George Anthony, a former cop, saw Caylee dead, panicked, and hid the body in the nearby woods. In addition, the defense claims Casey was sexually abused by her dad, George, and brother, Lee Anthony. George adamantly denies such claims and Lee was never asked when on the stand. The abuse is why Casey never told anyone about her daughter’s disappearance. She was emotionally scarred and was used to keeping secrets, according to the defense.
Many in the media including CNN’s Nancy Grace and TruTV’s Vinnie Politan, believe the prosecution did enough to win their case.
There were some high points when the defense presented their side. However, once the prosecution proved that defense witness Cindy Anthony was lying about doing the controversial Google searches including “chloroform,” “neck breaking,” and “shovel,” the state was looking stronger than ever.
Caylee Anthony (August 9, 2005 - June 16, 2008) was a young, two-year-old girl known for her contagious smile and brown hair with bangs. Many believe Grandmother Cindy Anthony was her primary care-giver who absolutely loved and adored her Granddaughter. Many trial watchers, especially, in Florida, have developed an emotional attachment to the young girl.
Casey Anthony is accused of first degree murder. If convicted, she could be sentenced to death.

Precious little Caylee came to this world knowing her fate as she chose it while she was spirit child. Likewise Casey knew her fate as she also chose it as spirit child. Caylee it seems was an instrument in bringing down a very very evil spirit. Now resting in the arms of her Maker, little Caylee is free and at rest eternally.
I personally think that CASEY ANTHONY "KILLED" this precious little angel.She will never get a chance to go to school,make friends,hang out with them when she gets to high school,go to college,and know what its like to have a a career.Nor she will never ever get the experience of marrying and having a family of her own and why? B/c her mother chose to live the LIFE of sin and wanted to know what HELL was gonna look like when when she gets there.Truth be known,she probably has been planning this for a while and no one ever knew this was coming except CALLEY.Who knows what was going through this childs mind when her mother was killing her.I am a mother of two and I have two granddaughters and something like this really makes me wonder why they let SUSAN SMITH get away with it b/c prison life was to good for her.This is like a CHAIN and it will continue until our government steps in and saids,"O.K.! ENOUGH! YOU TAKE A LIFE,NOW WE ARE GONNA SHOW YOU WHAT ITS LIKE TO HAVE YOURS TAKEN!!!!! Casey had her daughter last, never had any signs of grief, dumped her car that smelled of death noted by 9 other people who know what death smells like, she never reported her missing (or her new claim that she drowned) she told not one person, gets as tatto, why not tattoo Caylee's name on her body not (bella vita) ????? death penalty would be my vote, at the least no chance for perol, LIFE for a LIFE, justice for Caylee.

jury I could not see her free, I feel life in prison without perol is what she should get. She should never leave prison, I would vote death penalty, but at the very least life. (Scott Petterson case was similar) lire, who wanted a new life without ties.
I am a mom of 8 beautiful children an became a mom at the age of 15 so I never had a chance to paety an have fun..so shld I blame that on my kids no!! I gave up that right when I became a mom and I wouldn't have it any other way..anyone who hurts a child should be punished to the fullest extent allowed by law,,but a mom should be sent to hell where she can endure torture forever cuz thats the only punishment that makes sense..I don't know how a mother could ever hurt her own child,,but then again casey does not deserve such a high title as a mother,,she's nothing to that child except for a nightmare..

You do realize there's no way Casey Anthony will be convicted of first degree murder, right? No direct evidence linking her to an actual homicide -- no direct evidence of a homicide, period.
I believe the state failed to make a case. The duct tape was fabricated as a muder weapon. The cause of death was not determined. The defense established by the best medical expert in the world that death was NOT caused by asphyxiation. This shoots down the state's case. There was no evidence that Casey ever possessed chloroform. To claim she made it is silly. I have a degree in chemical engineering and a masters in chemistry. I would have to have a sophisticated lab with equipment capable of capturing it in a very cold state to prevent this volatile liquid from escaping.
Too much news coverage on this horrible crime. Feeding the monsters ego. Rest in peace sweet baby
