Casey Anthony To Be Released From Jail Sunday
It’s the next step in a court case that has received national attention, at times non-stop. Even after the verdict, media coverage has only decreased slightly. As a result, media representatives and jail managers negotiated a plan which will allow reporters and photographers to document her departure from inside the jail. Once Anthony is far enough away from the jail, officials will finally announce the 25-year-old has been released.
Nobody knows for sure what Casey will do or where she will go once she is released. One thing is for sure, George Anthony will not be welcoming his daughter with open arms. According to the Huffington Post, George does not want his daughter to come back and stay with him. In addition, he has voiced his support for Caylee’s Law which has already received over 1.2 million signatures. The law would make it a crime to not report your child missing after more than 24 hours.
A large protest is expected at the courtroom Sunday as many Florida residents want Casey to leave town. Rumors have swirled that she may be headed to Texas or even Puerto Rico.
Casey Anthony will likely remain in the headlines for quite some time. “Zanny the Nanny,” which was a lie created by Casey that ended up being a real person with no connection to the case, is suing for slander. A deposition from Casey is planned for the beginning of October where Casey will have to speak under oath and answer serious questions that are no longer protected by the Fifth Amendment.
In addition, Texas Equusearch is suing Casey for $100,000, expenses that were the result of Casey’s lies.
Finally, this past Friday, Casey and her lawyers appealed her four convictions of lying to authorities. During the murder trial, the defense told the jury a liar doesn’t make a murderer.
Complete coverage of Casey’s release from jail is expected on Headline News this weekend.
