Los Angeles police arrested one of two suspects sought in connection with the beating of Giants fan Bryan Stow at Dodger Stadium in April, authorities said Sunday.

Tipped by a parole agent of the whereabouts of a parolee, LAPD SWAT team surrounded an East Hollywood apartment early morning reported Los Angeles Times. Although the Police gave no statements  regarding why the man was under suspicion beyond the tip from the parole agent, they were given confirmation from undisclosed sources that the man taken into custody was in fact involved in the brutal beating of Stow.

Stow still remains in critical condition from his injuries according to Times report.

The Los Angeles Times reports:

Police officials said they also served a warrant at a second location nearby to the apartment where they found the man. It appeared that police believed the second location was tied to the man taken into custody and was not linked to the second suspect, who remained at large Sunday.

A joint news conference is scheduled for 4 p.m.
