The former CEO of Godfather’s Pizza and current radio host of “The Herman Cain Show” announced his run for President Saturday at Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park.

"In case you accidentally listen to a skeptic or doubting Thomas out there, just be to clear ... I'm running for president of the United States and I'm not running for second,” 65-year-old Herman Cain told the crowd.

Cain has never held a political position before. However, he ran for Georgia Senator in 2004.

In the past, Cain has supported a strong national defense, been against abortion, and agrees with replacing the federal income tax with a national sales tax.

Even though he is a long-shot, Cain believes his grass-roots enthusiasm can make him a credible bid for the Republican Party.
