LAT Festival Of Books: Day Two Photos

The "Los Angeles Times" Festival of Books continued to attract the crowds to the wide array of authors, booths, music and programming available on USC's campus.

While the books and presentations were interesting, the people who came to hear and learn about their favorite authors and books were sometimes just as interesting. The crowd was filled with all age groups, but with one thing in common: a love of reading. These supporters sometimes came adorned in book-themed garb, i.e. a book perched on a headband or with literature covers on their bags.

Though Day Two was a quieter affair compared to the jam-packed crowds of Saturday, the presentations and readings were not any less entertaining or enthusiastic. Fabio Viviani, of “Top Chef” fame, gave the audience much more than a demonstration on how to make home-made pasta, but a whole hilarious experience. Madeline walked around the children’s area in McCarthy Quad so people could snap photos with the famous character and people wrote on the "LA Times" "What are you reading?" wall. Hip Hop Harry got everyone at the Target Children’s Stage up and dancing—parents and children alike, while others lined up to meet the anchors and reporters of KTLA 5 News.

There was a lot of book buying, reading, sharing and discussing in a fun and spread out environment that provided a diverse range of activities for everyone.
