After plenty of interviews and more than enough attention, Donald Trump finally squashed the idea that he would run for President in the 2012 election.

In a statement, Trump admitted, “This decision does not come easily or without regret; especially when my potential candidacy continues to be validated by ranking at the top of the Republican contenders in polls across the country. Ultimately, however, business is my greatest passion and I am not ready to leave the private sector.”

Trump has been very critical of President Barack Obama’s performance in his first years in office. He expressed his doubts of Obama being born in the United States. As a result, some considered Trump to be a racist

Recently, NBC decided to renew “The Celebrity Apprentice” for another season. NBC was prepared to find a replacement for Trump if he decided to run for President.

Trump concludes this season’s “Apprentice” this Sunday on NBC.
