Former president George W. Bush appeared only momentarily dashed after a baseball came perilously close to hitting him at a Texas Rangers game on Monday.

Bush learned the hazards of sitting close to home plate when Adrian's Beltre's foul ball came towards the box where Dubya was sitting with former first lady Laura Bush.

The Bushes came away unscathed, but the Chicago White Sox won't so lucky. The Rangers handed Chicago a 4-0 shutout.

Though the ball just missed his skull, no doubt Bush would have been happy to literally, and figuratively, take one for the team.
