What do Britney Spears, Madonna, Journey, Katy Perry and Rebecca Black all have in common? Their songs have been or will be profiled on Fox’s award-winning show “Glee.”

According to nymag.com, Mark Salling, Chord Overstreet and Kevin McHale will sing the hit “Friday,” and we can only image them singing in the backseat of a convertible. The episode will feature the cast attending their school’s prom.

Rebecca Black’s surprise hit continues to succeed. Earlier this week, her song reached 100 million views on Youtube (with 2 million dislikes) and continues to grow.

Does choosing to profile Black’s “Friday” make “Glee” lose any credibility or is it all in good fun, fun, fun? Will “Glee” treat the song as a gem or poke fun at the surprise hit? We will have to see when the episode airs later this season.
