A Giants fan was seriously beaten after yesterday’s opening day game, the Times says, the assailants apparently shouted  “expletives about the Giants as they delivered the blows.”

You can now put as much, or little money as you wish on your TAP card online and at all Metro rail ticket machines, the Source says. The feature is thought to encourage ridership among infrequent riders who would not use Metro enough to justify a day, weekly, or monthly pass. 

Remember the massive die-off of sardines in Redondo Beach? Well officially about 2.5 million fish turned belly up, the Associated Press reported, but officials still aren’t sure what pushed the millions of fish into King Harbor.
