Earlier this week, Nicole Crowther, an extra on the set of "Glee" sent out a simple tweet, and the entertainment world set on fire.

The tweet, only a sentence in length, contained a spoiler for the upcoming prom episode of "Glee’s" second season. Crowther revealed the identities of the Prom King and Queen in a simple coded message. To view the tweet, along with other spoilers, click here.

While many devoted fans were hungry for the information, most were furious that the element of surprise was ruined.  Many harassed Crowther on Twitter with angry rants, causing the extra to frantically delete her account.

Brad Falchuk, the show’s producer, angrily responded to Crowther on the social media site, asking, “Who are you to spoil something talented people have taken months to create?” "Glee" producers quickly fired the actress and are currently in works to modify their contracts to punish those who leak information.

Rumors have been circulating that "Glee" will re-shoot the entire episode in order to keep viewers guessing. Despite the short time frame (the prom episode, entitled “Prom Queen”, is set to air May 10th), a last-minute change is a major possibility.

Were you surprised by the show’s choice of Prom King and Queen?  Who would you like to see instead?  Comment below.
