Sony’s alien-invasion action film “Battle: Los Angeles,” starring Aaron Eckhart, brought men to the movie theaters this weekend. An estimated 68 percent of audience members were male and contributed to the weekend’s gross income of $36 million.

Last week’s number one movie “Rango” continued to spark interest with family audiences. An additional $23.1 million was made bringing the two-week cumulative gross to over $68 million.

Red Riding Hood” starring Amanda Seyfried, came in third with $14.1 million. Women made up a whopping 64 percent of the audience.

Jane Eyre” collected $182,000 from only four movie locations throughout the United States making it the highest per-theater average film of the year thus far.

Next week, Bradley Cooper stars in “Limitless,” Matthew McConaughey appears in “The Lincoln Lawyer” and “Paul” debuts.

3. “Red Riding Hood” -- $14.1 million
4. “The Adjustment Bureau” -- $11.5 million
5. “Mars Needs Moms” -- $6.8 million
